L.B. Foster works with Houston Metro Rail Operations Center on Expansion Project

L.B. Foster was awarded a supply contract to provide concrete ties for the Houston Metro Rail Operations Center (ROC) maintenance and rehabilitation project.
The Company’s concrete tie facility in Spokane, WA manufactured the 5,200 CXT® Concrete Ties required for the expansion of the Houston railyard as well as rail rehabilitation, replacing all existing wood ties.
“It was a quick turnaround with all orders for the project placed in December 2020 and final deliveries made in January 2021,” commented Brian Royak, Sales Manager - Southeast for L.B. Foster Rail Technologies & Services. L.B. Foster provided boots-on-the-ground sales/customer service support, addressing any questions or issues that came up throughout the project. “Our strong relationships with the contractor and owner coupled with our local presence led to a successful overall project," continued Royak.
