L.B. Foster plans to introduce several new products at Railway Interchange next week in Minneapolis, including our next-generation PROTECTOR X trackside friction management system and several products focused on enhancing railroad safety and remote monitoring.

Article originally published in RT&S September Issue.

The next-generation PROTECTOR X trackside friction management system has been completely redesigned and includes a state-of-the-art product compartment with the industry's lowest cavitation level and true first-in, first-out product utilization.

A new remote asset-management platform also will be on display, which has been completely redesigned to give immediate, intuitive insight into performance of friction-management assets and includes new toolsets to maximize system uptime.

L.B. Foster also is introducing several products focused on enhancing railroad safety and remote monitoring to the North American market.  The Grade Crossing Monitoring system uses LiDAR to accurately detect an object's location, size and direction in the crossing.

L.B. Foster also has developed a Rockfall monitoring system that can not only detect that a rock has fallen, but also whether it remains an obstacle on the track, how large it is, and what type of damage the track has sustained so the railroad can take appropriate action.
