Our Friction Management Services include Bulk Distribution, Vehicle Considerations, Friction Measurements, Rail Wear Measurements, Noise Measurements, Installation, Site Surveys and Lubrication Technical Schools.

Installation

L.B. Foster uses both in house and authorized third party service providers to install, maintain, and inspect our products. We have a wide network of coverage which continues to expand to better service our customer base.

Site Surveys

Installation of Friction Management equipment starts with a spacing analysis and site survey. These steps are critical in order to achieve the FM goals. L.B. Foster has developed spacing formulas for both gauge face and TOR systems. We also have the expertise required for proper site selection.

Lube Schools

After investing in Total Friction Management, the next step is to train the lubricator maintainers, track inspectors, and other levels of regional management. L.B. Foster has been conducting on-site training courses for our customers for many years. Ask us about organizing a class for your railroad.
