Rail Lubrication

L.B. Foster offers several different types of wayside track lubrication devices dependent on the application.

 

Our innovative Electro 20 Electric Rail Lubricator is designed for heavy haul track. It is easily installed and offers a site specific control system which provides the precise distribution of friction modifiers and lubricants to optimize performance. With a 400 lb. reservoir capacity, an easily programmable control box and adjustable grease emitting blades, the system provides very low maintenance and low cost wayside lubrication. The Electro 20 is solar powered and will provide reliable lubrication under the most demanding conditions. With the telemetry option, the status of Electro 20 lubricators can now be checked from remote locations. This enhancement allows detection of potential problems long before they become significant. Two-way communication to the lubricator is provided by cellular telephone, satellite or direct line. Examples of items that are monitored are grease level, grease usage, battery voltage, and charging status. Routine monitoring information is accessible via the Internet. The software can be programmed to alert you by means of text message or e-mail if there is a problem requiring immediate attention. The remote monitoring system is a great new addition to the lubricator products, which minimizes the need for on track inspections saving time and money.

 

The Lubricurve™ 50 Hydraulic Lubricator is a reliable solution to the need for effective track lubrication while keeping maintenance costs at a minimum. It is designed for a variety of track applications. This new compact hydraulic wayside lubricator is an easily installed track mounted device utilizing a wheel activated plunger system. The Lubricurve 50 incorporates minimum plunger movement design, yielding reliable performance with low levels of maintenance. Its use minimizes rail friction and noise while enhancing usable track life.

 

Finally, our MEMOLUB Rail Lubrication System is an electronically driven canister based system designed for light haul and transit rail applications.
